Northern spain

Spain rewards the people who show up early and stay patient. The Atlantic coast at Las Catedrales, the golden light over Asturias, the Basílica del Pilar reflected in the Ebro at dawn. These are places that give you something if you're willing to slow down and actually look. Spain has always felt like a second home to me. My mother is Spanish, and I spent enough time there growing up that coming back still feels like reconnecting with something familiar. The landscape doesn't hurt either. The coastline, the light, the way the hills look in the late afternoon. It reminds me a lot of California.
