The day before I got the shot I was after at Las Catedrales, I got this one instead. The tide had already started coming back in, our window closing, but the sky had gone full pink and purple and the sun was pouring through that opening in the rock like it was placed there on purpose. The wet sand picked up all of it at once. Sometimes the day you think you missed is the one that surprises you.
