Playa de las Catedrales gets its name from the massive rock arches that line the beach at low tide, and this is why. Before the sun fully cleared the horizon the sky had already gone purple and orange, and the arches were holding their own against all of it as pure silhouette. The wet sand picked up every bit of color below. This was the morning the tide cooperated, the light showed up, and everything lined up at once. Shot at Playa de las Catedrales, Galicia, Spain.
