My uncle walks along the Ebro most mornings, so he knew exactly where to take me. This spot along the river is where the locals go, and on a freezing October morning we found out why. The Basílica del Pilar has been watching over Zaragoza from this riverbank since the 17th century, and at sunrise, with that sky going orange and purple behind the towers, it's not hard to understand why people keep coming back to photograph it.
