abstracts

Some images start as something else. These began as cathedrals, canyons, glaciers, and concert halls and became something different once I started looking for the composition inside the composition. My background in graphic design trained me to see structure and geometry first, and these are the images where that instinct takes over completely. The subject stops being a place and starts being a shape. Antelope Canyon, Iceland, Barcelona, Reykjavik. The places are almost beside the point. What remains is light, form, and surface.
