Antelope Canyon was carved by flash floods over millions of years, which makes the smoothness of it almost impossible to believe up close. What draws you in one direction is all deep red and orange, but turn slightly and the palette shifts completely — purples and lavenders emerging where the light bounces differently off the curved sandstone walls, the layers reading like brushstrokes. The whole place feels less like geology and more like architecture, something designed rather than eroded. Nature has been doing Zaha Hadid far longer than Zaha Hadid.
