Doyles River Falls is one of those spots that locals know about and the rest of Virginia is slowly catching on to. Tucked inside Shenandoah National Park, the trail winds through deep forest before dropping down to the falls, which pour over mossy rock into a dark pool below. We went on a summer afternoon and the place was busy enough, but a long exposure smoothed everything out and gave the water that silky look.
