Silver Falls State Park has a trail that takes you alongside and behind several waterfalls, which is exactly as good as it sounds. This one was shot from the cave-like alcove that forms behind the falls, looking out at the forest and the storm clouds that had been following us all morning. The rain held off just long enough. Everything was already that deep Pacific Northwest green, and the dark sky behind it made the whole scene feel like it was lit from within. Shot at Silver Falls State Park, Oregon.
