Multnomah Falls was on the list for my 40th birthday trip to Portland, and it did not disappoint. At 620 feet it is one of the tallest waterfalls in the country, dropping in two tiers down a basalt cliff face draped in moss and old growth. The little bridge sitting between the two tiers is the iconic shot, and getting it without anyone on it requires some patience. I stood there long enough.
