"The Watcher"

I was actually after a different bird when I spotted this one. A little blue heron, standing on a dock at the edge of the water like it had been there all morning and fully intended to stay. The light was still soft, the bay barely moving, and this bird was not concerned with me in the least. Sometimes the best shot is the one you weren't looking for. Shot on Tangier Island, Virginia.
