Beneath the Avon Fishing Pier, repeating pilings draw the eye toward the horizon as the Atlantic moves softly around them. Photographed under a cool, overcast sky just before a stretch of stormy weather, the long exposure smooths the water and gives the scene a calm, almost suspended quality.
