Most people photograph the Brooklyn Bridge from a distance. I ended up underneath it by accident, on a walk from Manhattan to a stretch of restaurants on the Brooklyn side where we'd planned to have dinner. Looking up from street level the bridge becomes something else entirely — all steel and cable and geometry against a flat blue sky. Shot at the Brooklyn Bridge, New York City.
